12. What do you have access to? Too often the next step is hidden in plain sight; in this case almost literally. Enumerate, check files, see what you can find.

ROOT HINTS

1. Basic enum. You will notice something unusual.
2. really fun part, check who you are and some google search will give you the way

4. a new concept for me and a very easy way to root the machine, see what your user have with him.
5. Check where you're at additionally. Google FU. Root can be done in under 3 minutes.
6. nothing new to identify the way and abuse it
7. This is straight forward once you are here. Basic enumeration and google will give you root.
8. I realized what to exploit almost immediately (thanks Google) but then I wasted a lot of time due to a "location" issue. Nice technique btw!
9. Base Enumeration, there is a script that does it for you and says "hey try this", then google and don't be like me .. don't despair and read every thing you do, if errors come out, it's because you're on the right track .

11. Don't think outside the box, think outside the container.
12. What you found while enumeration if anything is suspicious just google it . you will get your way
13. Thankfully plenty of documentation and walkthroughs on the priv esc. I did encounter a couple errors during the process, but don't get discouraged and stick with it.
